Welcome to Maastricht
Dear colleagues,The IAFMHS Board of Directors and the 2013 Local Organizing Committee (LOC) are pleased to invite you to participate in the 13th annual IAFMHS conference.
The conference will take place from June 18-21 in the Maastricht Exhibition & Conference Center (MECC) in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Maastricht is known for its picturesque squares, romantic streets, and historical buildings. It is also a center of gastronomy, with several Michelin-starred restaurants within walking distance. Furthermore, Maastricht has become known, by way of the Maastricht Treaty, as the birthplace of the European Union, European citizenship, and the single European currency, the euro. Maastricht has a large international student population.
For the 2013 conference, we hope to generate further integration within the forensic mental health field. Furthermore, we offer several additional services related to forensic field. For example, during the conference, there will be an opportunity to join an excursion to a Dutch Forensic Mental Health clinic. Also, several forensic patients will be involved in the program.
We encourage submissions for symposia with presenters from different countries. We also especially welcome proposals containing multidisciplinary aspects, integration of research and practice, and special populations. Furthermore we welcome submissions of forensic case studies. A full list of conference themes is listed below, as well as the time schedule.
Please click here to register.
We look forward to welcoming you to Maastricht!
Kind regards,
Kim van Oorsouw (Chair, Local Organizing Committee)
